Paradise is affirmed for him who pronounces the Adhan, sixty Hasanah (good deeds) will be written for him, and for every Iqamah, he will get thirty Hasanah. Ibn Majah
When you hear the Adhan, repeat what the Mu’adhdhin says. Then ask Allah to exalt my mention because everyone who does so will receive in return ten rewards from Allah. Then beseech Allah to grant me Al-Waseelah, which is a high rank in Jannah, fitting for only one of Allah’s slaves; and I hope that I will be that man. If anyone asks Al-Waseelah for me, it becomes incumbent upon me to intercede for him. Muslim
Whoever says the same words as he (the Mu’adhdhin) with certainty, will enter paradise. Nisa’i
When Adhan for Salat is pronounced, the devil takes to his heels and breaks wind with noise so as not to hear the call. When the Adhan is finished, he returns. When the Iqamah is announced, he turns his back, and after it is finished, he returns again to distract the attention of one and makes him remember things which he does not recall in his mind before the Salat, and says, “Remember this, and this,” and thus causes one to forget how many Rakah he performed. Bukhari
A supplication made between the Adhan and the Iqamah is not rejected. Tirmidhi
There are two times when the gates of heaven are opened, and few who make the supplication have it returned to them unanswered. They are at the time of the Adhan, and when standing in rows for fighting in the cause of Allah. Abu Dawud
If the people knew the reward of pronouncing the Adhan and for standing in the first row [in congregational Salah] and found no other way to get that by drawing lots, they would draw lots.
And if they knew the reward of the Zohr prayer in early moments of its stated time they would race for it [go early] and if they knew the reward of Isha and Fajr prayers in congregation, they would come to offer them even if they had to crawl. Bukhari
The deed most loved by Allah is the prayer performed on time. Muslim
When one of you prays, let him begin by glorifying his Lord the Almighty with praises and then with supplications for the Prophet, and then you may supplicate for whatever you wish. Abu Dawud
The servant is closest to his Lord during prostration, so increase your supplications therein. Muslim
Whoever recites the Verse of the Throne (Ayat al-Kursi) after every prescribed prayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his entry into Paradise but death. Tabarani
Verily, I have been prohibited from reciting the Quran while bowing or prostrating in prayer. As for bowing, you should exalt the Lord Almighty. As for prostration, you should exert yourself in supplication, for it is worthy that you be answered. Muslim
If a man performs two rakah of salah without the distraction of any worldly thought, all his previous sins will be forgiven. Bukhari
Two rakah of prayer before the Fajr prayer are better than the world and whatever is in it. Muslim
Whoever prays al-ghadaa (i.e. al Fajr) in congregation, then sits remembering Allah until sunrise, then prays two units of prayer (salat-ul-Ishraq), has a complete reward of Hajj and Umrah [The Prophet ﷺ repeated ‘complete’ three times for emphasis]. Tirmidhi
In the morning, every single joint of yours must pay a sadaqah (charity). Every Subhan Allah is a sadaqah, every Alhamdulillah is a sadaqah, every La Ilaha Illa Allah is a sadaqah, every Allahu Akbar is a sadaqah, every [act of] commanding good is a sadaqah, and every [act of] forbidding evil is a sadaqah, and all this is sufficed by two rakah of duha. Muslim
Whoever consistently performs two rakah of duha, their sins are forgiven, even if like the foam of the sea. Ibn Majah
Whoever is regular with twelve rakah of Sunnah (prayer), Allah will build a house form him in Paradise: Four rakah before Zuhr, two rakah after it, two rakah after Maghrib, two rakah after Isha, and two rakah before Fajr. Tirmidhi
Whoever prays four rakah before Zohr and four after, the Fire will not touch him. Tirmidhi
May Allah’s mercy be on one who makes four (rakah) before Asr. Tirmidhi
Whoever prayed six rakah between Maghrib and Isha, twelve years of worship are written for him. Tirmidhi
Whoever fears that he will not get up at the end of the night, let him pray Witr at the beginning of the night. But whoever thinks that he will be able to get up at the end of the night, let him pray Witr at the end of the night. For prayer at the end of the night is witnessed (by the angels) and that is better. Muslim
Verily travelling is difficult and burdensome. Therefore, when you pray the witr, offer two [additional] rakah thereafter; if he then manages to awaken [for tahajjud, so be it]. If not, these [two rakah] will be for him [like tahajjud]. Tirmidhi
The best prayer after fard is the night prayer. Muslim
Our Lord Almighty descends to the lowest heaven in the last third of every night, saying: “Who is calling upon Me that I may answer him? Who is asking from Me that I may give him? Who is seeking My forgiveness that I may forgive him?” Bukhari HADITH QUDSI
O Abbas! O my uncle! Shall I not give you a gift? Shall I not show you something by means of which Allah will forgive your sins, the first and the last of them, the past and recent, the unintentional and the intentional, the small and huge, the secret and open?
The Holy Prophet ﷺ then taught him the Salah al-Tasbih. Furthermore he advised him that it be offered daily, if possible. If not, then every Friday or once a month or once a year or at least once in one’s life time. Abu Dawud
The one who does Istikhara prayer will not be unsuccessful, and the one who consults will not see regret. Tabarani
If any one of you enters a mosque, he should pray two rakats before sitting. Muslim
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Bilal RA, “Tell me about the most hopeful act (i.e., one which you deem the most rewarding with Allah) you have done since your acceptance of Islam because I heard the sound of the steps of your shoes in front of me in Jannah.”
Bilal RA said: “I do not consider any act more hopeful than that whenever I make Wudu (or took a bath) in an hour of night or day, I would immediately perform Salat for as long as was destined for me to perform. Bukhari
(Abbas): ”O Messenger of Allah, teach me something to ask Allah Almighty.” The Prophet ﷺ said, “Ask Allah for wellness (afiyah).” I waited some days, then I came and said, “O Messenger of Allah, teach me something to ask Allah.” The Prophet said to me, “O ‘Abbas, O uncle of the Messenger of Allah, ask Allah for wellness in the world and in the Hereafter. Tirmidi
Allah Almighty said: “I have divided prayer between Myself and My servant into two halves, and My servant shall have what he has asked for.”
When the servant says, “All praise is due to Allah the Lord of the worlds,” Allah says: “My servant has praised Me.”
When he says, “The Gracious, the Merciful,” Allah says: “My servant has exalted Me.”
When he says, “The Master of the Day of Judgment,” Allah says: “My servant has glorified Me and my servant has submitted to Me.”
When he says, “You alone we worship, You alone we ask for help,” Allah says: “This is between Me and My servant, and My servant will have what he has asked for.”
When he says, “Guide us to the straight path, the path of those whom you have favored, not those who went astray,” Allah says: “This is for My servant, and My servant will have what he has asked for.” Muslim HADITH QUDSI
Dua is a weapon of a believer, a pillar of religion and a light of the heavens and the earth. Al-Hakim
The Dua of a Muslim for his brother (in Islam) in his absence is readily accepted. An angel is appointed to his side. Whenever he makes a beneficial Dua for his brother the appointed angel says, “Ameen. And may you also be blessed with the same.” Muslim
Indeed your Lord, Blessed and Almighty is He, is Shy and Most Generous. He is shy when His servant raises his hands to Him (in du’a) to turn them away empty. Abu Dawud
There is no Muslim who calls upon Allah, without sin or cutting family ties, but that Allah will give him one of three answers. He will quickly fulfil his supplication, He will store it for him in the Hereafter, or He will divert an evil from him similar to it. They said, “In that case we will ask for more.” The Prophet ﷺ said, “Allah has even more.” Ahmad
Ask Allah for His favour. Verily, Allah Almighty loves to be asked and among the best acts of worship is to wait in expectation of relief. Tirmidhi
A group of angels stay with you at night and (another group of) angels by daytime, and both groups gather at the time of the Asr and Fajr prayers. Then those angels who have stayed with you overnight, ascend and Allah asks them about you – and He knows everything about you: “In what state did you leave My slaves?” The angels reply, “When we left them, they were praying, and when we reached them they were praying.” Bukhari
If one of you feels drowsy while he is praying, then let him rest until his sleepiness is gone. Verily, if one of you is praying while he is drowsy, he does not know if he is asking for forgiveness or abusing himself. Bukhari
The best of your days is Friday. On that day Adam was created. On that day he died. On that day the Trumpet will be blown. And on that day all of creation will swoon. So send a great deal of blessings upon me, for your blessings will be shown to me. Abu Dawud
Friday is the chief of days, the greatest day before Allah. It is greater before Allah then the Day of Adha and the Day of Fitr. It has five characteristics. On it Allah created Adam. On it Allah sent down Adam to this earth. On it there is a time during which a person does not ask Allah for anything but He will give it to him, so long as he does not ask for anything that is forbidden. On it the Hour will begin. There is no angel who is close to Allah, no heaven, no earth, no wind, no mountain, and no sea that does not fear Friday. Ibn Majah
Whoever purifies himself for ablution in his house and he walks to a house among the houses of Allah in order to fulfill an obligation among the obligations of Allah, then one step of his will expiate his sins and another step will elevate his status.
Whoever does ghusl on Friday and cleanses himself, and sets out early, and comes close to the imam and listens and keeps quiet, for every step he takes he will have the reward of fasting and praying qiyaam for one year. Tirmidhi
When one of you wants to come to Jummah, let him perform Ghusl. Muslim
Whoever neglects three Jummahs, Allah will place a seal on his heart. Abu Dawud
The person who has a bath on Friday, purifies himself as far as possible, applies oil to his hair, applies perfume, leaves for the musjid, when he arrives at the masjid he does not sit down by removing anyone from his place, offers as many nafl salaats as possible, when the imam delivers the khutbah he remains silent – then his sins from the previous Jummah till now will be forgiven. Bukhari
For whoever recites surah al-Kahf on Friday, it will be a light for him from that Friday to the next. Al Hakim
On every Friday the angels take their stand at every gate of the mosque to write the names of the people chronologically and when the Imam sits (on the pulpit) they fold up their scrolls and get ready to listen to the sermon. Bukhari
Friday has twelve hours (or part of it). There is one hour during which if a Muslim asks Allah anything, Allah will give it to him, so find it during the last hour after Asr. Abu Dawud
